NANAIMO — The Clippers organization gathered one final time to close out the BCHL season.
On April 26 the team handed out their annual awards at a ceremony at the Wolf Brewery.
Graduating captain Michael Craig was a Clipper for three seasons and took home the Best Two Way Player award.
“There was so much opportunity here. It was the best decision I ever made to come to Nanaimo. I love it here and I gave everything to this team and being a Clipper.”
Kai Daniells was also a three year member of the program who’s now off to Princeton University.
He took home the Leading Scorer, Most Valuable Forward and Most Valuable Player Awards.
Daniells was humbled being named the Clippers MVP.
“It means a lot. I’ve learned so much from previous mentors here through the years. We had an excellent team and I had great linemates so thanks to those guys who made it a year I’ll never forget.”
Director of Business Operations Robb Hunter said it was special to have all of the Clipper community together in one place.
“I’m pleased we were able to celebrate not only with our players but with out billets, fans and sponsors. It was just a fantastic night overall.”
