PARKSVILLE — One person has died in a serious motor vehicle accident along Hwy. 19.
RCMP report the incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Friday, July 26 between exits 46 and 51 along Hwy. 19, just north of the weigh scales.
The crash took place in the southbound lanes, however traffic in both directions was quickly closed off as a result of the incident.
Vehicles were detoured through Parksville’s Hwy. 19A.
It’s not clear how the incident occurred, or how many vehicles were involved.
Photos posted to social media of the scene showed a cube truck on its side along the highway.
