Charges were formally laid against Ranger last month and he remains in custody.
The CBSA investigation launched after three firearm silencers were intercepted by border services agents at Vancouver International Airport between August and October 2022.
Three of the charges against Ranger are for the unauthorized possession of a loaded and prohibited firearm, while he also faces three drug trafficking charges.
Ranger also faces charges for two sets of alleged offences involving violence in Nanaimo dating back to February and March of last year.
