NANAIMO — Following a week-long trial, a BC Supreme Court jury found a man not guilty on all counts related to a serious shooting at a central Nanaimo home, resulting in the amputation of a man’s leg.
The 12-person jury announced its decision on Tuesday, Nov. 7 that Jordan Reginald White was not guilty on all four counts, included aggravated assault, related to the Dec. 9, 2022 shooting at a Bowen Rd. duplex.
White, 27, was freed from custody following the verdict.
He was arrested in December of last year in relation to another matter which resulted in charges being dropped against him earlier this year.
The recent trial heard Jerome Jules was shot in the leg, resulting in significant blood loss and his leg being removed above the right knee.
Justice John Harvey oversaw the trial.
