Mr. Dressup was an icon; I think we can all agree on that. His show first aired in 1967, the final episode aired in 1996. Can you imagine all the history behind that near 30 years? And how much impact Mr. Dressup made on generations of Canadians?
This documentary delves right into all of that, with commentary from some of our favourite Canadians (Casey & Finnegan obviously, Michael J. Fox, The Barenaked Ladies, and many more).
I gave this a watch last night and will be watching it again. It’s 90 minutes of magic, memories, and delightful insight. Of course, there were tears but I highly recommend giving this a watch! It’s a true love letter to our beloved Ernie Coombs, Mr. Dressup.
