NANAIMO — The Clippers season came to end in Game 4 of the Fred Page Cup.
Penticton completed a four game sweep with an 8-2 victory.
The Vees went up 3-0 in the first period and cruised to the win.
Bradley Nadeau led all scorers with three goals and an assist.
Both Nanaimo goals were scored in the second period by Charles Tardif and Cole Hansen.
Penticton outshot Nanaimo 58-23 in the contest to capture their 13th BCHL playoff championship.
Six graduating players finished their Clipper careers with Cooper Black, Sean Donaldson, Tristan Fraser, Keighan Gerrie, Andrew Noel and Alek Sukunda playing their final Junior A games.
After finishing third in the Coastal Division in the regular season Nanaimo started the post season on a 12-0 run beating Surrey, Chilliwack and Langley.
The Vees lost their first game of the playoffs and went on to record 16 consecutive victories.
The 2022 final marks the seventh time Nanaimo and Penticton have played for the Fred Page Cup.
The Clippers won in 1976, 1977 and 1978 while Penticton teams took home the title in 1980, 2008, 2015 and 2022.
