PARKSVILLE — Filming of the sixth and final season of Chesapeake Shores is expected to go off with a bang.
Crews began setting up along the Parksville waterfront last weekend ahead of two days of planned filming Wednesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 12.
As part of the production, fireworks will be set off along the waterfront sometime between dusk and 10 p.m. on Thursday night from Parksville Community Park.
A note from the City of Parksville advised people with pets to keep them inside Thursday evening, or leave them securely at home if they plan to be in the area to watch in person.
Crews are expected to be out of the park by Saturday, May 14.
The production, a mainstay in the Oceanside region over recent years, is wrapping its work on the popular Hallmark Channel program.
The sixth season is set to air beginning in the summer.
